A brief review in a issue of Billboard compares VanWarmer's style of singing on Warmer to that of The Bee Gees, and although the writer felt the album lacked diversity, "Just When I Needed You Most" was regarded as a good cut. According to The Guinness Encyclopedia of Popular Music, "Just When I Needed You Most" was the song VanWarmer was "best remembered for."Genre: Soft rock.

7. [Yay!] On this disc is the well recognized "Warmer" album, already in release as a CD in Japan in at least three runs: original issue, 20 bit remaster, and K2HD mini LP sleeve issue. It is excellent work, to be sure, but what is new here is the fantastically underrated, mostly unheard, (except by Randy's fans) "Terraform"/5(6).
